We want to be your “better health team.” There I said it. So what does that mean? Patients have a lot of questions and concerns about how they should be getting out of pain and improving their health. We know that we can’t fix everything, and our focus is very specific.
You should be getting adjusted on a regular basis, and you can’t do that by yourself.
Still, there are lots of things you can and should be doing on your own to make your health better. Exercise, eating better, improving your posture, foam rolling, getting massaged, drinking enough water, stretching… there’s a lot.
We can help you with a lot of that. Point you in right direction, show you how to do something, or send you an e-mail with a list of resources. We spend a lot of time learning about these things and have already worked through a lot of trial and error.
We’ll get you adjusted, but you have plenty you can do on your own.
Just don’t waste your time, jumping from thing to thing with no guidance. You can significantly shorten the learning curve and get faster results. You’re not a nutritionist, nor are you a personal trainer. Why would you think that the plan you put yourself on would work better and faster than seeking the help of a trained professional?
I know that many patients don’t want to spend the money, and I used to agree with you. Until I worked out for months with no results. What’s the point of spending any money on a gym membership to get stronger and healthier if it doesn’t do that.
We’ve personally worked with or have met with many healthcare providers in the area. We know many different types of providers and can help you make a connection to someone knowledgeable in the area with which you need help.
If you need a healthcare provider, just ask! Chances are we know someone.
Many times, we’ve been able to find a chiropractor in another part of the city or even another state. We know a lot of doctors and providers in the Galleria area and are happy to make that referral for you. If we don’t know someone, we’ll give you some tips about how to go about finding the right provider or some questions you may want to ask.
We’ve had patients bring in devices or contraptions that they’ve purchased from a late night infomercial. “I bought this and I have 60 days to return it. Can you tell me if it’s any good?” We’ll try it out and give our feedback. We are happy to do this!
That’s what we mean about being your “Better Health Team.” We know our primary focus is making sure your spine is working so that your nervous system will work at optimal levels. Any of the other stuff you may need or want — we’ll do our best to help you save time, energy, and effort in finding the right provider or service.
